about Thorsten "thurston" Kampa

Hi there, my name is Thorsten Kampa. I am a songwriter / composer / keyboardist / producer / creative director trying to get started in the professional music and entertainment business.

I have been playing piano/keys for about 25 years now. After years of classical training and graduating from high school in classical music I switched over to Jazz and Rock/Pop.

Also, I've spent quite some time on stage, playing solo, in smaller combos, in various rockbands as well as big bands. I did the whole "live thing", from bars and dinners over weddings, birthdays and trade fairs to live shows, gala concerts and jazz gigs.

2000, I received the "Best European Young Musicians Award" in the keyboards category.

I'm not an engineer, my focus is set on songwriting/composition, arranging, song development, artist development, consulting, coaching. This is why I use the term "producer" in combination with "creative director". And as I am a marketing/advertising/PR guy in "real life", I can also offer assistance in promotion, presentation, branding, image and all that stuff.

I'm always interested in collaborations with other musicians, songwriters, producers, A&Rs....so hit me up, I won't bite ;-)

Whether it's Rock, Pop, Alternative, Soul/R'n'B/Urban, Metal, Jazz, Fusion, Acoustic, Electronic, Musical, Orchestral.....I have no restrictions, neither in listening nor in working - it's all about the music, it's all about the emotion. And emotions do not depend on style...
